
Additional services have been scheduled for the Edirne-Halkalı train line. The regional train services, which were previously operated once a day, have been increased to twice a day starting from December 10.
The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Transportation Inc. announced that the regional train services between Edirne and Halkalı had been increased. It was stated that with the new departure times, passengers would be served twice a day, and the application of unnumbered wagons would be discontinued.
The trains will depart from Edirne at 08:20 and 17:15, reaching Halkalı at 12:30 and 21:22, respectively. The ticket price for the 4-hour and 10-minute train journey has been set at 190 Turkish Liras.
Additionally, it was announced that as of December 10, 2023, the practice of unnumbered wagons will be discontinued in passenger trains. Passengers boarding without a ticket will be subject to an additional penalty, twice the ticket fare, based on the distance to be traveled.
