The issue of irregular migration, constantly on the agenda, continues to be a concern for the country. Hopefully, we won’t face bills we can’t pay in the future – which is already the concern of a large majority.
Indeed, Edirne, our city closest to the border, frequently witnesses these incidents of irregular migration. Most recently, the following cases have been recorded:
35 IRREGULAR MIGRANTS APPREHENDED IN EDIRNE
In Edirne, 35 irregular migrants attempting to cross the border illegally were apprehended. In the security forces’ operation targeting groups attempting to cross into Greece illegally, 35 irregular migrants of Afghan, Palestinian, and Pakistani nationality were identified.
The irregular migrants captured at the border were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after the necessary procedures.
Furthermore, another 17 irregular migrants were apprehended in Edirne. Seventeen irregular migrants, identified as having entered the country illegally, were captured during inspections conducted in the city center and districts. After the required procedures, the irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
The Provincial Security Directorate teams continue their inspections and controls to prevent irregular migration.
