Edirne Governor Mr. Yunus Sezer is indeed continuing his beneficial efforts for the city. For instance, he is currently overseeing restoration works at the 600-year-old Gazimihal Bathhouse.

Governor Sezer inspected the restoration works initiated at the Gazimihal Bathhouse, which is located on the road to Kapıkule Border Gate.

Regarding the project, Sezer said the following: “Our aim is to revive and restore all historical structures in Edirne. We will do whatever is necessary to carry forward these entrusted relics from our ancient culture to the future.”

Governor Sezer emphasized that Edirne was a museum of history and culture. He stated, “We have started the restoration works at the Gazimihal Bathhouse. While the restoration of the Selimiye Mosque, Edirne Palace, around 40 mansions, and the Şükrü Paşa Monument is ongoing, we will also be working on reviving the Gazimihal Bathhouse as a museum or in a different manner. We will complete the revival efforts of the bathhouse as soon as possible.”

Hopefully, soon enough, there will be no historical artifact left unrestored in Edirne. It is evident that this is the clear target of the administration.
