Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer stated that they aimed to complete the ongoing projects in the city within the next 5 years and make Edirne an exemplary province globally. Governor Sezer, in his statement following his visit to Ankara, mentioned that three industrial zones had been put into operation in Edirne, and they had conducted discussions in Ankara regarding this matter.
Emphasizing their goal to attract environmentally friendly industrial establishments to the region with a green industry approach, Sezer also stated their intention to train qualified workforce for the industry. Governor Sezer announced that the first allocation, scheduled for Thursday, would take place at the General Directorate of Agriculture and Credit.
He informed that there had been 43 applications, including Ipsala Organized Industrial Zone, and they planned to attract both major corporations and complementary industries. Sezer also mentioned the ongoing construction of village roads and the efforts to secure funds for the promised 175 kilometers of hot asphalt. Additionally, he shared news about the initiation of the Kaleiçi Urban Transformation Project and the Saracılar Avenue project. Governor Sezer expressed their plans to contribute to the development of Edirne in the sports field with new projects, aiming to harmonize with national progress while keeping Edirne’s historical heritage and potential in focus.
