TRAFFIC ON HOLIDAY

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a statement during the Workers’ Iftar Program at the Beştepe National Exhibition Hall. He announced that the holiday for public employees would be extended to 9 days.

Good news everyone 🙂 as citizens are expected to hit the roads again this holiday. The Aegean Coast and holiday destinations like Antalya are likely to be packed during this holiday as well. People will most likely find it difficult to move around, and the roads will be filled with cars, making it tough for vehicles to give way to each other and even leading to many further problems.

Unfortunately, we’ll likely witness accidents on the roads. Hopefully, there won’t be any fatalities, although it’s not very likely to avoid.

President Erdoğan, who had not mentioned such a possibility earlier, suddenly announced a decision change, saying, “We have also included the following 3 days after the holiday as administrative leave. Public employees will be on administrative leave on April 2, 3, and 4.” This means that the holiday will be extended to 9 days.

“Now, public employees will have a total of 9 days off during the holiday,” Erdoğan added.

What can we say? May Allah protect us all.
