
As is known, Edirne cheese is one of the most well-known and beloved flavors in our Turkey. In fact, people often bring Edirne cheese as a gift for their loved ones when they return from Edirne. One of the questions that people are curious about these days is “why is this cheese not brought to international recognition and prominence?”
When the news that Ezine Cheese is the first Turkish cheese registered in the European Union surfaced in the media, the question shared in the title came back into focus: “When will Edirne cheese be internationally registered so it can open up to global markets?”
According to reports, said news was announced by RIFAT HISARCIKLIOGLU, the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). Thus, we now know Ezine Cheese is opening up to the international arena.
In the meantime, RIFAT HISARCIKLIOGLU also shared the news on his social media account, listing 18 of our products that have received “geographical indication registration” from the European Union.
