One of the rapidly growing sports in Turkey is undoubtedly rowing. The Rowing Federation is fulfilling its duties to the best of its abilities. Meanwhile, support from the private sector and the business world is undoubtedly making a significant contribution to the development of this sport.
In this context, our prominent city of Edirne recently hosted our young rowers in the Youth Turkish Championship. Teams competing over three days on Turkey’s first Olympic-standard course left a lasting impression in Edirne.
The championship, held on the Meriç River in Edirne, created emotional and historic moments that greatly pleased the spectators.
Now, Edirne is preparing to host a very important and world-class event in the coming days. The U23 European Rowing Championship will be held on the Meriç River in this beautiful city on September 7-8, 2024.
This event will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the global promotion of Edirne. We eagerly await the start of the competitions. We also feel it is our duty to sincerely thank all those who played a part in securing and organizing this event.
